Product Review: Cornbread Hemp

Company: Cornbread Hemp

Products:

What Makes This Brand Unique: Cornbread Hemp was born and raised in the Bluegrass State, and damned if they ain’t proud of it! Founded on the belief that Kentucky has the best environmental conditions for growing robust hemp, the brand traces its heritage back to the first hemp farm planted in Kentucky in 1775.

Claiming that the strength and quality of their USDA organic hemp is thanks to the rich nutrients found in the waters of the state, Cornbread Hemp doesn’t let Mother Nature do all their work for them. Working together with Kentucky’s natural gifts, Cornbread Hemp does everything in their power, from farming to manufacturing, to ensure the highest quality hemp products.

Cornbread Hemp products are USDA certified organic. Each batch of hemp extract is lab tested by a third party. The company is also well on its way to becoming a B-Corp by working with USDA certified organic farms that have been negatively impacted by the War on Drugs over the past 200 years.

Let’s see how those waving fields of hemp perform in Cornbread Hemp’s most popular tinctures.

Cornbread Mini Whole Plant CBD Oil (25mg/ml) Review

It’s not often you find such a powerful whole plant CBD oil in such a tiny bottle. Perfect for first-timers and those who need their CBD on-the-go, this cute 15ml amber bottle has everything you’d expect from a full quantity.

What do they mean by “whole-plant” CBD? A full-spectrum hemp extract, whole plant CBD oil uses all parts of the flower to ensure you get the maximum entourage effect. Still, an impressive 50% CBD, the other 50% is packed full of terpenes, flavonoids, a micro-dose of THC, and many other cannabinoids.

We found the whole plant flavor to be ruggedly delicious. However, folks who wrinkle their noses at hempy flavors should check out Cornbread’s Distilled CBD Oil instead (reviewed below). Whole plant extract is as robust as the name suggests. In fact, be sure to shake your bottle before opening to avoid a dropperful of visibly swirling plant matter.

As for the effect? All we can say is, “Hot diggity!” These Kentucky natives weren’t lying about the quality of their product. We noticed an almost immediate drop in stress and anxiety – so much so that we’d recommend taking this hemp extract at night for a sound, uninterrupted sleep.

Cornbread Mini Distilled CBD Oil (25mg/ml) Review

Don’t be thrown off by the word “distilled.” Unlike CBD isolate, this distilled CBD oil contains a full spectrum of cannabinoids. So what’s the difference between this product and Cornbread’s whole plant extract?

Taste. If you’re put off by the earthy notes of hemp, you absolutely must try Cornbread’s Distilled CBD Oil. This tincture contains an incredible 75% pure CBD extract mixed into 25% medium-chain triglyceride coconut oil.

The difference is also visible. As opposed to the dark olive color of most full spectrum CBD tinctures, this distilled CBD oil is almost clear. Free from plant particles or debris, the oil feels like it disappears under the tongue. With an extremely mild coconut finish, this tincture has an impressively subtle sweetness.

We found that this product didn’t make us nearly as sleepy as the Whole Plant CBD OIl. We recommend it for day time pain and anxiety relief.

The Takeaway

From the moment we opened the soft matte packages with their modern black, green, and orange design, we knew we were onto a company that cares. You can feel the effort they put into their product via the packaging, taste and underdog story as Kentuckians on the lam.

We highly recommend these products to first-timers and old-timers alike.
